Today, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey 🇹🇷 . October 29, 1923, marks the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey, led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, following the struggles for national independence and freedom. This special day symbolizes the unity, solidarity, and independence of the Turkish nation. Additionally, Atatürk's reforms and efforts to lay the foundations of modern Turkey have played a critical role in shaping today's Turkey.

After World War I, on the verge of the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with the support of people from all corners of Anatolia, envisioned building an independent and modern nation. By landing in Samsun on May 19, 1919, and initiating the War of Independence, Atatürk demonstrated the will of the Turkish nation for independence and freedom to the entire world through this historical struggle. Under Atatürk's leadership, Turkey took significant steps towards becoming a secular, democratic, and law-abiding nation-state. A series of reforms such as the Alphabet Reform, Legal Reforms, Women's Rights, and Educational Reforms accelerated the modernization process of Turkey, reaching out to all segments of society.

Atatürk's ideal of reaching the "Level of Contemporary Civilizations" laid the foundation for Turkey to gain a respectable position in the global arena. Reforms in science, education, and industry contributed to Turkey's progression as a modern nation. October 29 represents a critical turning point where the foundations of the Republic of Turkey were laid, and the Turkish nation attained its ideals of independence and freedom. Today is an opportunity to commemorate the achievements gained through Atatürk's vision and leadership and to reaffirm our commitment to advancing Turkey towards a brighter future.

As we celebrate this historical day, I also express my gratitude to the martyr relatives appearing in my family tree. Their struggle for these lands has enabled us to live freely and independently today. Remembering Atatürk's principles and revolutions, we reaffirm our resolve to work in unity and solidarity to take the Republic of Turkey even further.

The one who loves his country the most performs his duty the best.
